This is a newbie question, be warned.

I just got my chevelle (70) and in the trunk there was a box with some rubber moldings and two crome parts. Where do they go? I found them in NDP:s catalog and says its for vinyl tops, but I dont have a vinyl top.

PS 1. Can I use regular contact glue to attach the trunk rubber molding. Any ideas? DS

PS 2. Pardon my english, hope you understand what I mean. DS

Those are for the lower rear corners of a vinyl top molding where it meets the paint, near the trunk lid. If you are not planning on or have a vinyl top you could sell those . Are they nos or aftermarket? Also 3M makes a weatherstrip adhesive usually found in automotive parts stores.

Use the 3M super weather strip adhesive as obseSSed suggested. It comes in 2 colors. Use the black as it will blend in with the weatherstrip. Make sure the weatherstrip and the lip around the trunk are clean. I've had the best luck spreading it on the metal lip and letting it tack up a little before pressing the weatherstrip into it. Also watch where you put the adhesive because about the only thing that removes the excess is lacquer thinner. Good luck!

Those chrome pieces for the vinyl top or two-tone cars aren't cheap. If you don't need them put them on Ebay. I need a set but shipping from Sweden might be a bit too much.

EDIT: Oh, I guess you know they're not cheap if you found them in the NPD cat.
