does anyone know of a spec or distance that the vinyl top A pillar seams should be located from the top of the windshield or roofline :confused:

HI. I am in the process of installing my vinyl top also, and I went and checked out some cars at a local cruise to see where they were seamed. I looked at 8 cars, and they had the seam approximately 1 to 2 inches down from the top of the windshield. I don't think there is a specific dimension for it. The top I bought has the vinyl already seamed for the a-pillars, and it looks to be about right. I hope this helps. Harold

right i have seen the same,roughly a knuckle and a half on the index finger(SINCE I NEVER HAVE A TAPE AROUND WHEN I SEE A GOOD CAR TO CHECK)but i have seen it as much as 3-4 inches down on some cars and that doesn't seem right graemlins/beers.gif
