Does someone have a mechanical drawing of a transmission crossmember they fabricated for a 700r4?To work in a 67 Chevelle? My problem is despite having a stock Powerglide transmission, crossmember. It simply won't bolt up to the transmission, I know I've posted about this before, and was told it would or to use a turbo 350 transmission mount.Which I tried and still will not work!? I was also told that if it's flipped over and the tab is cut and repositioned and welded it would work...However I just can't bear the thought of cutting it up... This weekend I'm hoping to install the shift works conversion in to adapt to cable shift...And I'm aware that Bowtieoverdrives does make a dedicated crossmember but the price and shipping to Canada just wasn't planned into my budget.Or if anybody has used a Transadapt universal trans. crossmember with any success? The price of aluminum box tubing is around $12.00 a feet for quarter inch wall in 3in. by 3 in.The cheapest price for a trans.crossmember is roughly $90.00 dollars..But it's not designed specificlly for my application!! Or if anybody has used a Transadapt crossmember please let me know if it did work..Thank you so much in advance for any help as this is the one hurdle I need to clear to continue my progress...
