I am installing a new door lock set in a 71 Elky. The car was just painted & the old door locks were gone. I had no problem installing the locks & retaining clip in the door. My problem is from the lock cylinder to the bar in the door. The locks came with this little clip for the end of the lock, but I don't see how that can reach or connect to the bar in the door. Am I missing a part? Thanks for any help.

You are missing the arm that installs on the back of the new lock. New locks don't include them, you reuse the old ones (if you have them). The little clip you have is to hold that arm to the new lock. Good luck.

Be sure to measure the length of the old shaft before ordering. Shaft extends 1/4" past the end of the housing. Actuator pawls not included in a Late-style key.
