Looks Great! I really like the blue!!

No worry about everybody do'in a red car in this Forum. LOL!! Mine's gonna be blue, too. A different shade, though.

Yours is much further along than mine. I'm jealous!

Good luck with the final phase.

Tropical Turquoise Metallic is beautiful! I just went through what you are doing with a 67 SS. Great job, keep up the good work! Any pics of what looks like a custom hood?

Thanks guys. What you see so far is 18 months of work. The paint shows more blue in the pics but is actually more green. I also sprayed the entire interior and underside with a product called Lizard Skin. It's a sound deadening and fire proof product plus it locks out the rust. The hood is stock...if only I had seen your stinger hood sooner. Goal is for it to look stock, but run like the wind. Still trying to decide on the wheel and tire set up. It's either 69/70 15 inch SS wheels or 18" wheel vintiques in same style.
I just want them to fill the wheel wells and not rub when turning corners.

Looks nice... The wheels on the "frame" picture are about the closest looking to that color (not too common)...

Doesn't look like stock manifolds or a Muncie in the photos...

And is the car missing the original frame?

Tony,
You are correct. The Picture shows headers and a tremec T5 5 speed. The headers would have needed major surgery once the 1" Hotchkis springs were put in....the passenger side literally sat on the starter. The 5 speed was only rated for 300hp. One drop of the clutch and I would have had a major explosion...so I went with the M21Y overdrive unit. The steel wheels are actually from my buddies 55 chevy wagon...almost the same color. The frame is original to the car. Thanks for looking.

Can we see how the lizard skin looks, we were just talking about this with a car we are working on in the shop. How did you like the application of it, is it fairly smooth or ruff like a line-x look?

Mickey,
It all depends on how you spray it out. I goes on very easy. For the under side of the car it looks like and orange peal with dimples and all....like line -X. If you take it slow it goes on simi smooth at best. It can be sanded if needed to make it real smooth.
I will send you some pics later today. Do you have a direct email you would like me to send it to?

If you can post here that would be great, otherwise send to mickyhale@adelphia.net Thanks. I would be looking to do just the inside of the floorpans and inside doors/ quarters. The bottom of the car is slick painted. What color is this stuff?

Micky,
The files are large, so I sent them to the adelphia.net address.
