My alumunum wheels are starting to look bad and I would like to remove the clear coat, sand or buff out the bad areas and clear coat again.

Thanks

Check out POR-15's Wheel Refinishing Kit. This has everything you'd ever need to refinish and polish your alloy wheels and make them look great. The Clear coat that is applied at the factory is pretty tough stuff but with some elbow grease it will come off nicely.

I did some 15" Camaro Alloy rims and buffed out to a mirror finish. They look terrific.

Hope it helps.

I am not going to guarantee any thing but I sprayed aircraft remover on my 300zx wheels(They were really bad). After some aircraft remover and som never dull they are bling blingin. My friend did it to his IROC wheels and they turned out really good too. It may not work so well on your wheels. All metals react different. If they do end up looking good I would just by some kind of wheel sealer and put it on afterwards.
