just bought 68 SS. have seen silver grilles & blacked out grilles. which is correct. also is the tail panel supposed to be black between tail lights. car was repainted victory red instead of seafoam green, which is nice but tooooo much red.would a black vinyl roof and wide stripes on hood & trunk instead of body stripe be correct :confused:

For a 68 SS the grille should be black and so should the tail panel. The two stripes that go down the hood and trunk like on a 70-72 would not be correct but you could add them if you wanted, for a 68 SS they should be above the lower side moldings and on the header panel.
