"71 Chevelle S/B. Someone please help! Installed new clutch & t/o bearing. With linkage adjusted to allow about 1/2" before engaging all seems fine. When the pedal is depressed there is a clicking noise from inside the bellhousing and the clutch never disengages. The more I adjust the linkage to remove the slack the worse it gets until evevtually the t/o bearing just rides on the diaphram. I know the t/o bearing is installed correctly, and I know the disc is installed correctly. This is an ongoing problem and this is the third time I have pulled the drivetrain to try to fix this. By the way, it is a stock M21 and the clutch is a GM repre bought at O'reilley. Thank you if you can help.
