Just cleaned and polished the upper stainless door panel strip on the 66 that retains the door panel. There was a little rust on the inside metal part that is molded to the stainless part. Whats the best way to preserve the inside metal part so no new rust will not start (appear that it may have been galvinized originaly).?you just clean it good and paint it with a clear coat or does it have to be etched primed and painted.?
