Can anyone tell me how to tell the difference between the doors on the two models. I'm going to Indy this weekend and want to make sure i pick up one for a coupe. Thanks in advance.

Is the door for your 72?

If so, a Elky door will have different body lines, and also a vent window.

jimmy's right. vent window, body lines and also the window frame. it's not a hardtop door like a chevelle; it's a post type like a station wagon

Simply stated, there a crease (body line) that runs from front to back on both fenders. On the Velle it's on the upper portion of the fender (and door), on the El Camino it's lower.
