When I disassembled my interior, I found a 12" cable coming out of the top of the ash tray but didn't think anything about it. I realize now that it is a fiber optic cable, but I can't find anywhere in the harness where it plugged in to a light source. Anyone help? Any pics?

Thanks in advance,
Tim

Hi Tim.On my 68 it plugs in the back of the dash. There is a spot where the fiber plugs in and uses a dash light for to light the ash tray.

Thanks, Jim. Can anyone else chime in for the "plug-in" spot on the back of a '71 dash?

On the other end of the cable there should be a lamp assy that inserts into the gauge cluster lower right hand corner just like a regular bulb/socket assy.
