Does any one have any experience with replacement outside handles- the repo button has a rod that is much longer than the stock one. Should it be cut, bent etc.? Any help appreciated.

Yep,bend and cut if needed.I've found that if it's left a little bit longer the button feel is better.Match it up to the one taken out...

Thanks- I tried the original button in the new handle and the latch just barely works. I will put the new button in and leave it longer and try it.
Will it bend cold or should I use a torch?
