i have a 68 chevelle there is a minor amount of rust below the rear window. YOu can hardly see it ever if you are looking for it. It hasn't really gotton bumpy or anything yet. I was just wondering if i should bother reparing it? It is so minor should i wait? If i should go ahead and repare how much would it cost? IT is at the middle not at the edges or anything. its probbly about 1 inch long and half and inch wide. like i said it is very minor

Ho Nick. Rusr on the surface is like an iceberg in the ocean, the majority of it is eating away at your chevelle below the Glass, arounf the pinch weld and 1/4 and truk filler panel.
IMO ATTACK the rust as soon as you can B-4 major damage occurs.

if the repair is kept really small, then you could just have that panel painted[as long as the paint color on the surrounding panels could be matched, not faded ,etc. cost to repair depends on the extent of the rust.if it is only surface rust then itshould be around 160.00.if there is a hole and a patch is required to be welded in ,then count on a additional cost after the paint has been taken off to determine the size of the repair needed.

almost forgot,if the rust is close to the back glass then it will have to be removed first before the repairs.cost is approximately 150.00 toremove and install the glass.[canadian prices]
