Guy's!
I just got my body back on the car last night and was wondering what is a good way to align it? The front clip is off the car so I was planning on waiting to torque it down after the clip is on and aligned?
Any body got some good advice on reasembly?
thanks

John, I think you will find the body mount bolts will dictate the body position on the frame. I double checked mine by measuring from the frame to the pinchweld down the sides to make sure it was centered on the frame and parallel. I snugged mine down and went back and torqued'em down after the front clip was on.
That's a huge step in the progress of the car. Good Luck! Keep us posted on your progress.

I reinstalled my body with a new bushing kit from OPG, and the bushings fit snugly enough that there wasn't a lot of room for the body to move around. The best part? The front clip fit absolutely flawlessly, even after having had the body off. I don't think you'll have a problem.

Can't speak for 70's ,but on 64/67 you have 4 body alignment post hols to line up the body. I use 4 peices of tubing as locating pins. I secure them with duck tape. There next to the front body mounts and next to the rear coil spring perchs.
