Need Help. I have a 68 Chevelle with what I thought was a 69 bumper. I know this cause the 68's had the reverse lights in the bumper and the 69's had them in combo with the tail light. At the moment, I have no reverse lights. However, I came across a 68 chevelle for sale on Ebay and I was shocked to see that his reverse lights are not in the bumper but in the 68 tail light. As you know, the 68 had a rectangular tail light and on this one, was a small square clear lens near the edge. Does anyone know how this is possible? Was this somehow a custom job? My tail lights are all red with no white lens and there is only one port in the trunk that houses a bulb. How could this be?

Some 68 Chevelle models had the reverse lights in the tail lite lens instead of the bumper. Very common.
Example-SS396-bumper- reverse lights
300 Delux SC- tail light lens
