I removed the doors,trunk lid, Hood, Etc. when I started my resto project (69 Malibu Conv,). I put the doors back on when I mounted the body on a rottisserie. The body is back on the frame now but I cannot open the passenger side door. I have loosened the hinge to body bolts but no luck so I have removed the hinge bolts completely. The door still won't release from the catch. for some reason the catch will not release. Does anyone have any ideas?

look inside of the door. your button rod that releases the latch might be bent and not pushing far enough to unlatch the door. Is the door gap to 1/4 even?
