Well, being that red is so expensive of paint, I am exploring options. I have been told that the original green with white stripes looked good on a 70 ragtop. My problem is that I bought the car with a new Black convertible top and new black interior. Has anyone ever seen a Forest Green w/ white stripes and black top? If so can you tell me what you think of that color coordination or better yet send me a pic or 2. Or maybe I should just wait a while and paint it the red w/ black stripes!!

WOW.. OhHawk that car looks great! I really like the color combo. Is that the orignial combination? I have never seen a green w/ white stripes SS convertible that had a black top! I know you could get them that way, but I had never seen one!

I had mine painted forest green with white stripes. Though mine is a coupe not a rag top.

I love it and I wouldn't have it any other way.

Do you have a vinyl top? If so, what is the color. I was really having a hard time visioning a green w/ white stripes with a black convertible top, but after I saw OhHawk's it's a no BRAINER! It looks classy and is definitely a head turner!

Yes, it is original as the buildsheet shows. You could order a white or black top with this color combo but most who ordered these cars originally stuck with a convertible top color that matched the interior color. That would be my suggestion but follow your heart if you're not trying to be totally original. Also, as you may know, stripes on Forest Green could only be white originally. Good luck.
