Hey all, new to the forums here and hoping you all might be able to help me out.

I'm in the final stages of restoration on my 69 Chevelle and am getting ready to install a new vinyl roof. However, after more phone calls / emails then I can count I've found that no one carries the 7pc trim set for the roof. Everyone that advertises it has told me that the company they dealt with to make this kit no longer is producing it and most are still awaiting other companies to put something together.

Anyone else run into this problem recently and more imporantly have any idea where I can look to get this trim? I've done some looking around my local area (NJ) but no luck so far. I also checked out Ebay for the heck of it and noticed a couple people selling the trim but listing it for a 69 GTO. They made mention that they "believe" it will also fit the Chevelle, but no guarantees.

Any advice you guys can offer is greatly appreciated.

Check out www.originalpartsgroup.com under vinyl tops they list the 7 piece set for 159.00. and supposedly in stock.

Check our classified ads here on the site, and post a want ad as well. Also try Hemmings Motor News at www.hmn.com (http://www.hmn.com)

I found a set through a classified on this site and had them restored. Nothing fits better than original pieces, IMHO.

Thanks for the advice. I gave OPG a call (couldn't honestly remember if I had tried them yet or not) and they told me the same thing most others have - out of stock and four to six months before they expect to see them again.

I'll take a look at the classifieds here and swing by Hemmings site as well.
