Well I just bought a numbers matching 72 chevelle Malibu with only 28k miles on it and she is a nice one will sell for 18,000.00. SHOVELLE

I would say 15 to 20 grand. It could go higher could go lower just depends on how badly the person wants it. But definately somewhere in that range.

You didn't mention anything re: condition other than "solid." Is it a runner/driver, weekend cruiser, showpiece? How's the paint, interior, mechanicals? Figure that values on these cars run below what an SS big-block will sell for, but higher than a small-block Malibu. That's not very specific, but its hard to gauge values on these cars since there aren't that many to begin with, and there haven't been lots of sales from which to gauge the value. Got any pix of the car?

it was a buyer didnt buy it tho, have a numbers matching SS 396 so whats the point? just something else to make me poorer.

Don't know if a Malibu 400 would be more 'desireable' than an SS but it's different. :D
