: Painting 65 Grille

Has anybody had any luck painting the black on the front grill. Everything I've tried so far rubs off without much effor.

i used ppg dp90 black epoxy primer worked great correct low gloss and has held up for 2 years without a chip or anything would highly reccomend

Use SEM trim black. U can get it at a body shop supply store. First tape off what needs to be taped then use a gray scotch brite pad or a light grite sand paper. Just scuff the area that your painting. Then shoot it.Mine came out looking very good. Id even say it was perfect.

Very nice 65!
I was wondering what tires and rim size (including backspacing) you are using. Looks like some decent rubber back there. Also, is it the stock rear axles and suspension?

I've always had good luck with Krylon products, I used semi-flat (not semi-gloss) black in a spray can. I'm sure the above mentioned paints would work well too.
