Coming along nicely, Albert. Will it be ready by July for the Niagara Falls show? If so, hope to see it there. I assume you may be shooting for CB06 but I have to miss this yr., hence my thoughts about July. Anyway, looks great so far!

The vins are not known..just like the SS's you need to do your homework and look for the clues. COPO's have some specific parts to llok for...Rear code ( KQ ) is one of them...I'm lucky..found three build sheets in the car and a host of other factory paper came with the car.

I could swear a list was posted of COPO cars??? Maybe these were known COPO's? Most were built in Baltimore, correct?

O.K. I misunderstood then, I thought those were all the COPO's. Those are just the known ones then. My vin. is B395--- and it kinda fell in there when a bunch were built. Guess I'll keep hunting. Original rear and seats are gone. Thanks Albert. Mike

 Excellent! After seeing your '70 in Niagara in 2004, I knew this COPO would be just awesome, especially after you told me the '70 was just a " practice car " :D .

Yes, I’ve heard that as well…and if that 1970 was a practice car, may the good Lord help the competition when this 69 COPO roles out.

UN-BELIEVABLE car…

Al – we want video (mpv file) of the car firing for the first time:D

A local restorer wants abour $40K to do our car. If you have the talent like Al, you can save a bundle. Might just have to roll up the sleeves and see what happens.

Keith, thats exactly what happened. I was tired of putting my car in a shop for years..paying alot of money for a job I wasn't satisfied with. This is about the 5th car I have done..each one I have done more and more on intil now. I have done everything except the upholstery.I'm considering taking on someones project..but not untill I'm completely done with this one..its been draining. Thanks guys.

I wish I did have that kinda talent, . I'm swapping some incorrect parts on my car with correct ones and thats the extent of my mechanical skills,I don't have the necessary patience, knowledge, tools or time to tear a car down to those stages. And as picky as I am I know I could never meet my own expectations. Theres a local resto shop in my area ,but it's about pushing out the cars and thats what I want to stay away from.My car I guess you would say was freshened up recently but I'm going to want it done right as soon as I get something else to have as a driver.Im already gathering NOS parts for the job.

Yup thats the one..was actually quite nice except for the center bar not being painted silver..fit was good as was the finish//all the moldings mounted quite nice as well.

Moose Thanks for the nice words..and it would take the megamillions to pry that car out of my hands.:D

Albert

That is spectacular!! Whatever your day job is, you should quit and do resto's for a living - of course all the minutia can cause drinking issues!!! LOL!!

Sorry to miss you at Grand Island this year. We have a family wedding on the left coast that weekend. Hopefully you'll be able to bring it back for NCG '07 so I can get a chance to see it up clase and personal.

What a beautiful car! Nice job!!

That's how mine was, also, from 1 1/2 years ago. Wondered if they had fixed that little oversight yet.

That is looking goooooood Albert! I'm a little partial to the color too. I don't know if you remember but I was parked next to you at CB02 with my Fathom Green 69. I'm in the process of redoing mine.
