Around the back window and were the headliner ends there are metal strips that are attached with clips. When you by a new headliner does those come with it. Or must I save them. Because the ones in my car are not the best.

Save them - I do not believe the any clips or rods come with the headliner - it's just the headliner...

You should just leave those in place unless you have some reason to remove them.
