Can anyone please help determine what the "A" means after my interior code. This is a 68 Chevelle SS car with 765A on the cowl tag. Thanks, Don

Is the "A" right next to the 765 or well over to the other side of the tag.

If it's over to the right, that would indicate the paint code which is Tuxedo Black(A).

if it's next to it, then I don't know.
good luck

The A is right next to the 765. It is a DD color code????

(765A)

What assembly plant? Each one had different info on tags. I have some Baltimore tags with the letter "B" between trim and paint but nobody knows (yet) what it's for. KC tags carried over the 66/67 feature of adding -A- to bench seat cars and -B- to bucket seat cars even though the code for each was different - i.e., 765 was black bench whether it included -A- or not and 766 was black bucket whether it included -B- or not. If the paint code is "DD", it's Grotto Blue. First letter is lower main body color and second is upper body color (e.g., no vinyl top)

Dale, It is a Kansas built car so what your saying makes perfect sense to me.

Thanks for the help. Don
