View Full Version : Recommended Air Bag Suspension Kits burt66 Jan 24th, 06, 1:55 AM I am looking for a four wheel air bag kit for my BB 66 chevelle. Does anyone have someone they would like to recommend for quality and price? Thanks Gil tony66436 Jan 26th, 06, 1:07 AM well, i would get the Air Ride Technologies brackets (the upper and lower cups/bracket) but without the Firestone Bags. Id run some Slam Specialties RE-7 bags which are the same as a firestone 2600 but ride better and get more lift. Slam bags take the bouncyness out of the air ride suspension. tony66436 Jan 26th, 06, 1:12 AM And put together you own air management kit. Air Ride Tech's kits are way overpriced. You need 8 3/8" valves at $32 each, a switchbox $29, some 1/4" or 3/8" air line is like 10 cents a foot, a 5 gallon tank is like 49 bucks, and for compressor i would go with an Air Zenith compressor $299.99. They are relatively new to the market and one AZ compressor is like having 2 Viair 450 compressors. tony66436 Jan 26th, 06, 1:14 AM I have/installed air ride on my Daily Driver truck (02 Ford Explorer Sport Trac) and i got my stuff from this place--- www.suicidedoors.com wanarace Jan 26th, 06, 9:14 PM I second www.suicidedoors.com (http://www.suicidedoors.com) Great place to deal with and come highly recomended from everybody driving around with 13's on their Cutlass or Caddy :D Steve |
