Im having trouble getting a set of headers on my 67 chevelle. I have a small block 283 with stock straght plug heads. The motor mounts are stock. Iv tryed 3 companys and ended up with Hooker. They hit the ear on the lower control arm on the drivers side. Im building this car from the ground up. I have the factory assm. manual and it shows that the frame mounts should look forward. Is this a misprint. It seems to me if they were turned around it would move the engine back and the primary tubes on the header would have plenty of room. Hooker says they should go in without any modification. Please help.
