The push nuts for the reproduction SS grille emblem I purchased are too big. They push too far on the posts. The emblem hence won't tighten against the grille as a result. Anyone know where you can get these push nuts? I've checked Home Depot, auto parts store, etc. Nobody has them.
Such a small problem, but it's ticking me off!!
Thanks.

Ditto on NAPA. Also try your local auto paint supply store. Any auto parts store that carries the red "HELP" packets should have them. If you can't find them let me know and I'll mail you a couple or three.

Thanks, I'll try NAPA. I tried Salvo, Advance Auto Parts and Pep Boys. Hopefully NAPA here in MD has them.

I got a set of 3/16" threaded nuts from a different Salvo Auto Parts and they worked on my 72 grille! Took me a few weeks to find them, but finally did. Thanks for the help. I have an extra pair if anyone needs them.

I have found them at just about any True Value Hardware store. They come in just about any size you want.

You know it's a shame that sooner or later looks like True Value Hardware stores will disappear. I find hardware there that you cannot find anywhere else.

I hope not! They seem to still be going strong in this part of the country.
