Does anyone know where small aftermarket tubs can be purchased? My brothers workin on a 66 Nova and he wants to mini tub it. We didnt know if anyone made tubs small enough so you didnt have to cut into the frame rail. Where lookin for about an extra 2" over stock. So far all I have seen is 23" and thats way to big.

I make all my mini-tubs from scratch. You simply take two pieces of 18 awg sheet steel...one half round, the other a strip as wide as you need and weld the two together on the inside of the 90 degree attachment seam.

Another way of mini-tubbing involves cutting the inner wheel well out, moving it over the needed distance, then welding a strip of metal to fill in the gap. This method gives a more factory appearance, but both serve the same purpose.

Ive seen a company out of Detroit that makes pre made mini tubs for camaros that look dead stock, look just like the stock inner but 3in wider

Ive talked to the owners a time or two at the Goodguys show in KC, mainly cus he's got a hot wife :D but the guy seems to know his stuff. Heres a website www.detroitspeed.com (http://www.detroitspeed.com)
