I've spent a month getting new parts installed in my dash and I am at the last step before I try to install it. I have it laying on the floor of the car and am trying to hook up the a/c control to it. The left side of the control bolts down into two plastic pillars no problem. On the right side however, there are no plastic pillars to bolt it down to. NOTHING. The only thing there is the support brackets for the dash which are supposed to be bolted down to. In the picture I'm pointing to where there are plastic tabs instead of the pillars. Has anyone used these repo's before and if so how does this hook up? I'm stuck please HELP!!!!!!!! Thanks.

There is a clip/nut that attaches to the dash. One end slides over the part of the dash you are pointing to. The other end of the clip has a hole that acts as a nut. Here is a picture of one on my 70 SS dash. I don't know if the clips are reproduced.

So the nut is kind of like at a right angle? A picture would be great. Can they be purchased? Thanks a bunch.

Glad to help! That's what this site is all about. I don't know where to get them, but any 70-72 will have them, even the non SS dash. Other years might use them as well. Maybe post an ad in the wanted section? Someone has to have some. Good luck.
