My car originally came as a soft top but I plan on making it a hardtop. I now noticed that the chrome molding by the windows jut out about an inch. Is it the same way with hardtops?
Thanks

Am I understanding this post correctly? Are you really planning to convert a convertible to a hardtop? That may be a first.

I know I dream about having a ragtop some day. Perhaps you would consider posting your car for a hardtop trade and save yourself all of that work? What year?

I believe you want to convert a vinyl top to a hard top.

If so, I do believe the chrome drip rails above the windows are a standard projection. It doesn't change from a plain hard top vs a vinyl-covered hard top.(Personally, I like the look of the vinyl top)

Please confirm that your not making a convertible into a hard top. It's upsetting just typing it, let alone actually attempting it.

Absolutely NOT!!!!! I've made a few blunders in my time, but I'm not dumb enough to destroy a convertable. I meant the vinyl top. sorry about the confusion.
