Got to the paint store and started pricing primer/sealers. Over 350.00 for a "good" epoxy and some name brand fill/sand with all the reducers  . I decided to go with Nason 491-35 Epoxy and 421-18 surfacer (still spent over 200.00). Anybody have anything to nice to say about this stuff. it's not a show car, function over form. I just want it to look good at 10 feet and stay that way for a decade or so.

I have used the Nason line for a while and its very good IMO. The 2K prime is very nice as is the clear.Bascoats tend to be a little thin equalling poor coverage.

Heres a car i did in Nason from the metal up with the exception of the basecoat which was Chromabase. BTW the red Chevy in the background was a complete repaint with Nason bc/cc also and the Ford P/U although its hard to see was a single stage Nason job.

Thanks Chris, I figured that for the most part primer is primer right? It is made by Dupont, it can't be that bad.

i use nason every day and the epoxy prime is better than the ppg DP ,the paint has less pigment ,needs more coats,i am doing my own high end 65 chevelle and i will use it except for the paint and clear, but i use there paint and clear on daily basis,on the lot cars but i never see tham that long so i dont know how they hold up after 5/6yrs and i wont take the chance to find out on my car,but i did a buddys 66 elky and its been 3 1/2 yrs and still looks perfect
