: sandblasted frame but what to do about rust pits

Finished sandblasting my frame today and applied coat of eastwood chassic black but it didnt fill in rust pits like i hoped,what should i have done or what can i do to make it look better.thanks,jeff

Jeff,
You would need to fill them with body filler and then sand smooth. Then paint.

Jeff, I'm about at that stage myself. I have an article from the May 2000 issue of 'Muscle Car Review'. The article is called 'Dynamite GM Chassis Detail'. After talking about stripping the frame to bare metal, it state's "..all parts (frame) receive two coats of PPG DP 40 Epoxy Primer. Three to four coats of PPG K-36 Primer/Surfacer. Block-sanding and repriming are repeated until all traces of pitting are removed. For the black topcoat, we use PPG DP 90 Epoxy...". Their chassis looks awesome in several color photos. I was thinking of following this method. I hope this helps you.
