I'm currently doing my Gear Vendors / M21 build-up. I'm trying to knock the lockpin out of the reverse lever so I can pull it out and re-install it on the GV adapter.

While trying to drive it out, from the bottom, the aluminum and the pin mushed together. At that point last night I just closed up shop and walked away from it before I did somehting stupid.

So today I was going to try filing down past the mushed area and try to punch it out again. Does anyone have a ny tips on this? Am I going about it all wrong? Luckily I've got the tranny on the bench, not under the car.

Thanks!

Someone may have driven the pin in from the wrong side somewhere in it's life. Make sure you are driving on the small end of the pin. I have had to weld up a fair number of tailhousings over the years because of pin problems they do stick and rip out the alum. around the hole.

It was driven in from the top. The pin has a mushroomed head on that end, so I am driving it from the bottom side.

Once I get it out, it will go into the GV housing. So if I damage the stock housing, at least I won't need it to put the car back together. But I'd rather not destroy it.

Thanks!
