No first hand experience. Consensus about dealing with Unlimited: don't do it.

any suggestions on where to get fiberglass or plastic inner fender wells for a 1970 chevelle?

I'm curious about the desire for plastic...trying to save weight? The metal ones are much nicer if you don't mind the extra 2-3 pounds.

There are pros/cons to each. Plastic are slightly lighter if weight is a real concern, and installing them can be easier because of their flexibility. They also don't have to be painted and rust is never an issue.

Steel do look nicer, and damage ( rust, flaking paint, dents ) can be repaired, but on plastic any damage is permanent.

My current ride is equipped with steel inners, but if I had a choice, I would use plastic, having used them before. There have been issues raised about the quality of the plastic with holes not lining up and trimming being required, however, I still like them better. I rather have to trim a plastic fender than a steel one.

FWIW, I had to trim approx 1/2" off the front corner of plastic ones I used before, as well as drilling another bolt access hole, as one hole didn't line up. Once installed, these mods became invisible. Not much trouble if you ask me, IMHO.
