I ordered my first Quart of Rust Bullet last week and I applied some this afternoon in the smugglers box area of my 68 El Camino. My smugglers box is in pretty good shape with just a little bit of surface rust at the corners or sides at the bottom. But I wanted to PRESERVE the area and make it better and keep it that way. Prep with Rust Bullet was easy. I first used a wire brush in my air angle grinder and then used a small wire hand brush to do hard to reach places, then shop vac the area, and then I applied my first of Two COATS of Rust Bullet. Tomorrow I will appy the second and final coat. Then 24 HRS. after appling the final coat of Rust Bullet, If I choose to I can spray, brush or roll on any kind of conventional paint that I want. If not thats OK too. Im protected good either way. Rust Bullet reminds me kinda like POR-15 Silver. Ive used several times Eastwood Corroless now called Rust Encapsulator, and I liked it. Prep with it is about the same as Rust Bullet. Ive used the POR-15 Silver and the Black once on the floor of my Chevelle. More prep work with it than with the other two I have mentioned. I thought Id give the Rust Bullet a try. I like the silver look because it highlights everything and you can see it easy. I think I will do under my wheel wells and my frame with it this weekend so I can protect them from the coming elements of the winter months that soon lie ahead. Ill feel much better then, because I have do drive my El Camino all year around (Daily Driver).
