Ruined some plastic parts in my Devillbiss Finishline II spray gun by soaking them overnight in gun cleaner! So now I'm on hold till at least Monday when hopefully I can get replacements locally. I have managed to get some things block sanded and ready for sealer though.

NO< NO< NO .... don't SOAK !!! you may remove the fluid tip, and soak that, but never the gun body ......... i just wipe the body when done, use thinner & a brush to clean the f/t passages ....... that's it

Didn't soak the gun body, just the tip, cap and a piece called a bafffle. The tip and baffle are made of some high tec plastic which did not like the overnight soaking at all.

I 'll just have to chalk this one up to experience. Hopefully I can still meet my schedule for painting the week of the fourth.
