Could someone tell me what the correct name is for the stainless steel molding on a 4 door or 2 door post chevelle that is on the sail of the exterior of the quarter panel? It is similar to a vinyl top molding. I have two of these that are in super condition and want to post them for sale but I do not know what they are called? It was sometimes used to separate different paint schemes.
Any assistance would be appreciated?
As per the '67 Fisher Body manual, "Rear Quarter Belt Reveal Molding". They are the same moldings for the 2-door post (body style 11) and the 4-door sedan (body style 69). That makes sense because those 2 body styles actually share the same roof panel believe it or not. There is 1 piece per side, plus they attach with studs, plus clips on the studs and clips on the moldings. The Sport Sedan (4-door hardtop, body style 39) also used 1 molding per side but I'll have to check the part # to see if it is shared with the other sedans (I don't think it is).
The hardtop Sport Coupes (Malibu & SS396) with the recessed rear window use different moldings with 2 pieces per side.

Thank you for the information. As I indicated I have a super nice pair of these and I know someone out there will be looking for them.
Thanks,
