After reading all of the sb/bb swap posts, it seems to me like if I were to get a 454 out of a 72 p/u, and snagged throttle cables etc. etc. and the complete engine/accessory and pully package, it would pretty much be a matter of putting some new motor mounts on and dropping it in right? Will I run into any problems using the accessories from said truck? My car is a factory A/C but it's being removed, the right pedal and that crank on the door classifies as A/C in my book. It has power steering and brakes. I think I would put an aluminum radiator in, possibly with electric fans to eliminate the shroud compatabilites and free up a few ponies if it would really save a headache. Thoughts?

The motor will be a complete drop in.Only snag might be the oil pan.
The truck pans won't fit a Chevelle, but I have seen and robbed quite a few 454's from 73-75 p/u's that had passenger car oil pans.
Headers are cheap too...less than $90 @ summit part # SUM-G9010 and they fit like a glove.

Do you know for sure that it is a 454? The 454 was not a factory option in the '72 trucks. The big block option was a 402.
