I have tryed to get it right too on mine.. The best I could do was Krylon semi-flat in a rattle can, put several coats. It it pretty tough stuff for a rattle can.

Per the PPG numbers that comes in info from stencils and stripes kit the black stripe colors is PPG9000, the blacked out area in the tailgate should be the same.

But me, I used shiny gloss Tuxedo black!

So, is PPG9000 a semi-gloss? I'm confused here, James. I always thought the stripes were high gloss and the tailgate panel was kinda semi-gloss. Not trying to argue....trying to learn.

The stripes and the panel are supposed to be Semi gloss. I prefer the gloss myself because when I would wax/polish the semi gloss paint it seemed to be much harder to remove the wax, besides, I like the shiny black urethane paint!
