Hi
I tried to start my chevelle today. I have charged my battery, but i dont think it helped. It didnt start. So I´m thinking about changing battery, and my question is basically, will any car batteri do? or do I need a "special" battery?
Thanks, newbie:)

You need a battery large enough to turn the engine easily and that has the correct posts for your cables. There are dozens that will work just fine.

Highest cold cranking amps.
But yes as big as you can fit in the battery box,

I like the OPTIMA BATTERY. No leakage-long shelf life. COSTCO sells them at a reduced price. Measure the Battery for the Battery box.

I like the autozone batteries or equivalent. Since there all under warranty when I fry something electrical and my battery dies take it back and no questions asked.

Not sure if you have Autozone and Costco....... in SWEDEN.. ;)
That being said, try to get a battery with at least 1 CCA per 1 cubic inch of displacement for stock engines- that is the the general rule that I have heard. STILL, buy the most CCA you can afford. I'm sure it gets REALLY cold in Sweden, so I'd try for at least 500 CCA, but probably more towards 600-700 at least. The more the better.
