: Where to locate 396 emblems

I have a 1967 Chevelle with a 1999 LS1 out of a Camaro.
The chevelle was a 283 car and had only the small"V" on the front fenders. No "283".
The LS1 is 346 cubic inches so I've modified some 396 fender flags to change the 9 to a 4.
Now I need to know where to drill the hole to mount them. I want to get them in the stock location as if they came on the car.
Does anyone know how far back (or forward) and how high (or low) these go?
Where do I measure from?
Thanks,
Dennis

Also, looking to purchase a Posi rear-end, 10 or 12 bolt, prefer 3.08 or 3.36 ratio, for a 64 thru 67 Chevelle.

Gotta give you at least one reply http://www.chevelles.com/forum/smile.gif Your best bet is to pick up a 67 factory assembly manual. Tons of good info, including measurements to the hundredths-of-an-inch for emblem placement. Good luck!
