First off, this is a 72. I have replaced the #2,3, and 4 body bushings, and while I had the front of the body lifted up, I cleaned and painted that part of the frame. Now it's time for the rear bushings. Can I safely lift the rear of the body at the bumper bracket area, or should it be lifted elsewhere? I was able to jack up the front of the car by the floor pans in front of the trans. tunnel. I can't use the trunk floor because it has none.(I'm replacing this also) Thanks in advance for any input, Dennis

Depending on how much metal you have. A solid hardtop car can be lifted at the rear area with no problems. I had my '71 on a rotisserie bolted to the rear bushing ledge.
if it's a 'vertible or is missing a lot of metal on the quarters then you need to take that into account. With just missing the trunk pan, it's your call.
