My 70 Chevelle convertible has the usual rust around the wheel well lip, and behind the rear wheel. I have talked with several people and they have recommended going with the full quarters instead of the skins, due to the ease of installation. Is it worth the extra money to go with quarters instead of skins? I am going to do the body work myself, and the car will be have be a weekend cruiser.

I would get the full quarters if you can afford them. I have seen them going for $1000 or more. I went with a skin because I didn't have the cash for the full quarters. I haven't installed it yet. Luckely I have a neighbor who knows bodywork that can help me. Good luck with yours.

Yes! The full 1/4s being reproduced for the 70-72s are very good quality. I used them on mine and was very surprised at the quality, fit, and defect free steel, I wouldnt hesitate to use them again. The skins will work and can be made to look very good but require a lot more work and in my opinion its not as good a job.

Whats the best place to get full quarters as far as price and quality. I have seen them advertised anywhere from 475 each to 650 each. Thats a pretty big range in price, and I want to make sure I get desent quality for the money.

Mike, Goodmark sell's 70 quarter panels made from GM's original dies. the price is $500.00 per quarter panel. Hope this helps.
