I just installed the correct 911-16 comp springs in my BBC with the comp xe262 cam that has been in there for a while now... Im really getting tired of the noise this cam makes especially this car being my daily driver. I get all sorts of sewing machine noises that seem to come and go at different RPMs. Anyways, I am very pleased with my lunati 268hyd (60203lk) in my 69SS and decided that i want to get the same cam for my 68. Well, after spending nearly $100 for the comp springs and about 4 hours of straining my back putting them in, i decided i dont want to do that again.
So i want to know if ill be ok using the comp springs with the new Lunati cam.

Is the xe262 a solid cam? if so you will need to check what the new cams spring specs are and then compare them to the 911-16 springs.

if your cam number is 06203 @.050 214 218 yes they will work.

I looked up your specs for the cam and the springs they are only 2LBS diff. in pressure.. They will also handle the lift you have as long as you are running the stock ratio.

You still should look close at the retainer to seal clearance and for spring stack. just as a precaution because we don,t know if any other shims were used in your heads or what work has been done.
