What do you guys use to clean printer nozzles when they dry out and get plugged?

Don’t know what the stuff is, it comes with a refill kit.

Place the clogged nozzles in a shallow dish filled with warm water and soak them until dried ink begins to flow freely from the nozzles After several minutes of letting the dried ink flow, remove the nozzle from the water and gently dry it with a soft tissue or cotton swab. Reinstall the cartridge and run the print head cleaning mechanism (described in your printer's operating manual). If this does not work, repeat the procedure. If your printer cartridge still does not print after repeating, you will need to purchase a new cartridge because the print head of your existing print cartridge is probably damaged.

You can use 99.9% Isopropyl alcohol.

The above advice works 97% of the time. I have also found that reinstalling the printer driver can usually cure another 2.5% of any print problems. After that buy a new printer (ignoring a new, too long printer cable as the source of the problem).

If it is beyond doubt that clogged ink nozzles are the problems, the previous posts are 100%.

The only other advice I can give you is to dump the inkjet printer and go get an HP 1012 laser printer off ebay, unless you are stuck on having to have a color printer. You can get them for less than $100. The supplies are not expensive for it either.

Thanks guys. I don't use the printer all that much and usually running the head cleaning programme does the job. Not this time.
