Not ready to do this just yet, but I was curious how you'd go about getting the quarter panels off a '68-'72 El Camino. The bottom half is all rusted away so that's not a problem but the top half, all I can figure is use an air chisel to separate the spot welds under the bed rail, but then where it goes onto the roof and sail panel, I can't figure it out at all. I know at the top there's a lead seam, but I don't know where the seam goes from there, behind the drip rail or before it? Is there a lip under the back window? What about the door jamb, how do you separate it there (looks tricky)? I would be replacing it with a full GM quarter. Thanks for any help.
