i finally did it...after doing body work for what seemed like forever i finally got some paint on the sucker :D i ended up using a single stage color that is called fleet white (not sure what kind of make or model its off of, i just kinda stumbled upon it. just for the sake of things lets call it off-white). but here is my problem. i painted it in my garage (please don't flame me on this i know it wasn't the best idea, but i don't trust macco with my car and i have very, very limited funds) and i ended up getting some lint or something of that sort under the paint. its got three coats on it which i thought would be enough...i asked around and most paint shops said i should sand it with some 2000 grit and then buff it. but noone said what kind of compound or buffing pad i should use? help me out guys...no one on this site has ever steered me wrong!

TIA, Jay

BTW i should have pics in a couple of weeks...still have some chrome and misc. things to put back on.

Go to a paint supply store and get some 3M Perfect-IT II compound and a foam waffle type pad. If you go to a good store they should be able to hook you up with what you need.
