I OWN A 70CHEVELLE SS WITH WIPERS THAT ARE SUPPOSED TO RETRACT BELOW THE HOOD. THE CAR WAS GUTTED AT ONE TIME AND THE ORIGINAL DASH AND WIRING HARNESS WAS REPLACED WITH A 72 MODEL. I HAVE SINCE REPLACED THE DASH WITH THE CORRECT ONE FOR THAT YEAR.
MY QUESTION IS THIS, IS THE WIPER SWITCH DIFFERENT FROM A CAR WITH RETRACTABLE WIPERS VERSES ONE WITHOUT. I BELIEVE THE WIPER MOTOR IS ORIGINAL, IT HAS A CANISTOR TYPE MOTOR. ANY INFORMATION WOULD BE APPRECIATED.

I changed my standard wiper motor for the round type motor I think that's what you are talking about.The same switch works the only diff is where off used to be that changed to high speed completely reversed and the wipers hide just like their supposed to...FRED
