Did any 1969 Chevelle 2 Dr Ht have wing windows? I had a strong discussion with an (expert) says he had one I never seen a 1969 Chevelle 2 dr ht with a wing window. So streighten me out. :D

I got this from a quick Google search. Maybe it's not a '69? I can only tell from the tail lights.

1969 astro ventilation was standard on all chevelles. So there were no chevelles with vent windows in 69, the picture above is a 68. Further review it would appear that all chevelles other than the wagon and the 300 series were vent free. Wagons, El Caminos, and the 300 series would have had vent vindows

I've seen some 69 GTOs with vent windows. But most of their owners told me that they themselves added 68 doors cause they wanted it - smokers happen to like vent windows... HTH.

El Caminos and wagons had vent windows. Also 68 Doors will fit on a 69 and vice versa.

In '69 all 2 dr hardtops and convertibles did not have vent windows. They were the only ones without though. the 4 dr sedans, 4 dr hardtops, 2 dr sedans, wagons, and Elkys all had vent windows.

Sorry, I looked up "1969 Chevelle" and that came up. Like I said, '68's and '69's aren't really my area of expertise(note to self, GET an area of expertise :D)

Some guys don't know the difference between a hardtop and a sedan. They figure if it's not a convertible, it's a hardtop. He probably had a sedan with wing windows.

Look at the height of the trim across the grill. 68's had it high and 69's are centered.

i own a 1969 chevelle 4 door hardtop with vent windows.
so this probable means that my frontdoors are smaller then those on a 2 door.

Despite my failings earlier, I'll take a shot at this.

A sedan has a "post" and a coupe does not. So an "unposted hardtop" is a 4 door. If a 2 door has a post, then it could be called a "2 door sedan"

At least I think I have that right. I should really listen to my father more.....:(
