: Factory Primer Color on '68?

I have recently purchased pristine original 4 door '68 Deluxe 300 in ermine white. 14k original miles, numbers matching everything, showroom interior and chrome and no indication of any rust. Strangely it was repainted at some point (years ago) and I can see evidence of some filler in the door frame corners (and small spot in the trunk) so there was at least some runs once.

My question is: I was replacing the door rubbers this weekend and rubbed off a bit of the white paint with the adhesive remover. Under the white it is dark blue? Could this be the factory primer color?

Most primers were grey, or dark red. You sure the car was painted the original color? Whats the paint code on the trim tag? Maybe the car was hit and it has a used door?

Thanks Bill. The cowl tag matches the white color but the replacement door could be answer. I will know more when I do the other three doors.
