A friend just bought a `68 300 deluxe post sedan. We found out that 3700+ change were made. Would anyone say this is rare? Or is it like how many were built + how many are left out there that would maybe make it rare. I think rare is a over used word(Mopar guys) myself but he thinks different, so I asked!

Different things to different people. Rare auto to me would be 1 of less than 100 or so to exist. AND the ability to prove the data.
Rare doesn't always mean desirable or valuable. I agree the word is over used. A 68 300 is rare in that you do not see many of them. They also have some hard to find trim parts particular to that model.

Does it have a 6 cylinder in it? And where did it come from?

I've got a 67 Deluxe post sedan. Production numbers were similar to the 68 year. Definitely lower volume product than two door coupe which makes them "rare". But, as Ace points out rare does not mean "desirable" as far as many in this hobby are concerned. Having said that, there are many here that do have post sedans and like the look and the fact that they are somewhat unique (my self included).

It is a V-8 car originally it now has a 350 and th350. Its very original as far as the body and interior but was a butcher hot rod, small steering wheel, ratchet shifter worked motor. Do you mean where was it bought originally or where did he get it? He bought it from Vanderlely's the power train shop in Ottsville PA. He bought it from a girl in Quakertown Pa. zeke67 I love post cars and any plain jane type for that matter. The more options it doesn't have I like.

There was a 68 300 post for sale near me, but it was gone before I had a chance to really look at it. I was wondering if it was the same car.
